Xbox madcatz controller drivers for windows 10 for mac#
I have added a version of the driver without support for the Guitar Hero controller, to allow the Guitar Hero for Mac game to work (it attempts to access hardware directly, which doesn't work if a real driver has claimed the device). Sadly, my PowerMac has died, which as my primary development machine has slowed progress. I've not yet checked the wireless receiver for compatibility. The latest release of the driver includes support, and I'll be updating the USB information section of this website shortly. I have got the Microsoft ChatPad working with my wired controller. I have however been informed that 64-bit and 32-bit builds are both working. It also contains 64-bit binaries, however I've been unable to test them because Apple have disabled my MacBook from booting into 64-bit mode.

I've released a version which will hopefully install and work fine on 32-bit Snow Leopard. They try to set Xinput as standards driver for controller but they sell Microsoft controller with DirectInput board in them for whatever reason probably a decision that made sense at the time.Īlot of feature are missing from the DirectInput driver since the inplementation and alot of ppl have complained since as far as 2014 and beyond.I have created a USB driver which allows you to use wired XBox 360 Controllers via USB, and wireless XBox 360 Controllers via the Microsoft Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows, on your OSX machine, including support for the Apple Force Feedback library.

The real problem is with the DirectInput driver ( the infamous d-input from Microsoft themself). What you says would be like if they changed the usb connector just to be sur to sell more Fighstick, that is not the case right now saddly but i see where you wanna go with this. You stretch too far now, you make no point. Ya i know you try really hard but your analogy doesn make sense. As Dism3mbermenT has mentioned before, it most likely has to do with the PCB board. So that right there probably means other than direct input support inside of Killer Instinct (or other games), you probably won’t see any support for none Windows games for this stick. They quick scroll up or down with the triggers on a regular controller. Secondly the LT and RT buttons don’t work at all on the dashboard. On my TE2 LB takes you to Community (to the right) and RB takes you back to Home. On the home screen to go to Community you press RB on a normal controller and LB to go back. And what I mean by this is the following. For instance outside of Killer Instinct on Xbox One, my RB and LB buttons are reversed. The final thing I’d like to point out is just even how odd the Xbox One fightsticks work on the Xbox One itself, when you’re NOT in a game. Whether it knows 100% it’s an Xbox One controller or just some other type of Xbox controller it still generally works (older games displaying the 360 button prompts). Where it’s not and almost any game (with controller support) can use it. Then it would only work with the games that were patched to work directly with it. If Microsoft wanted a closed ecosystem the Xbox One Controller itself would also be under something similar to the “Unspecified” area, or would be locked down so you couldn’t test and tweak it. The only counter point I’ll make to your statement is this, and why I still believe there’s still some compatibility issues with the current driver for the fightstick ( beyond that it’s under the unspecified where devices go when they’re not working properly)…

& That’s why you can only use Xbox One Fightsticks on Xbox One apps & games programmed to use them…even on PC apparently. That’s why you can’t play HTC Vive games on a Rift. That’s why you can’t use a micro USB on an Iphone (unless they’ve changed it on the 6 & beyond).

That’s why you can’t just dump NES & SNES roms onto a Wii U. They want you to use their products their way and block off any way they can of doing otherwise. It’s how Nintendo, Apple, Google (to some extent), Oculus, and who knows how many other companies handle their products.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not directing this explicitly at you, but it’s like some of the people in this thread have no concept of a closed ecosystem. Just because the drivers are not working the way we think it should be doesn’t mean they’re not working the way MS thinks they should be.

So it’ll only work in some cases in Apps like the Xbox App. But it doesn’t have the proper working drivers.
